私の本がLibraryThingでリストにあげています。LibraryThingのウィジェットがあります。私のブロゴでつかうとおもいました。でも、CSSをぜんぜんしりません。ていさいがよくないです。

My books have been listed* on LibaryThing. LibraryThing's Widget exists. I thought I'd use it on my blog, but I don't know CSS at all. The format is not good.

* Total dictionary-based guess

That looks a bit garbled - in Japanese and in English.
First thing is that you probably shouldn't say 私 that often. In Japanese it is usually avoided. But since you are writing about yourself you could establish it as the theme (the part usually signified with は - note: I just translate the German term for it , there might be another word for it in English) in the first sentence if you want to see every post as a in itself closed snippet. In general I would say a blog is about the author if not stated otherwise.

私の本を LibraryThingに 記入しました。

LibraryThingのウィジェットがあります。

The Japanese sentence is ok. the English translation looks Engrish. 'There is a LibraryThing Widget.'

The next sentence implied to me (in both Japanese and English) that you won't use the widget, but you are.

ブログで つかうとおもうけどCSSを あまり しりません。

ていさい seems wrong but I am not sure. I would probably have used かたち but only for lack of the correct word.

I feel out of my depth again picking at your Japanese. To redeem myself I found out what web widgets are and what CSS means and found a blog that might help you to tweak your list.

And yes, I should have previewed my post to check layout and spelling.

Was probably too long anyway.

Second attempt at giving you the adress:

(I put a 'space' in the address because it was cut of otherwise.)

The problem is that while I feel the sentence is appropriate (if simplistic) in Japanese, I have trouble thinking I'd say such thing in English.

There is a LibraryThing Widget.

or

LibraryThing Widget exists! (only good for dramatic comics)

Direct translations, but I wouldn't say such things in English. They strike me as sentence fragments even though they're grammatically correct. Too simplistic.

Maybe I shouldn't be using that in Japanese either.

I like your suggestion of 「あまりしりません」 although I think that 「ぜんぜんしりません」is also correct. My understanding of html pretty well stopped at 3.2. I know that CSS exists, but that's about all.

Nonsense, your Japanese is better than mine, so feel free. All constructive comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link, although somebody's been hanging out on the WGB too much.
