A short one tonight. I'm tired and don't have a lot to say. More tomorrow, hopefully.Anyway:Yesterday, I was busy. I dug more, but also made phone calls. After work, I had my koryu class. I practiced sword, bokken, staff, and naginata. I like the naginata kata the most.
Ah, I was a bit confused by that 「でも、また でんわ を かけました。」 That means, "But, I phoned again," basically. I think you might be able to say 「でも、でんわ も かけました」 or 「でも、でんわ も しました」 to express the idea, but I'm not sure exactly what impression that would give. The connection between digging holes and making the phone call or calls is not so clear. If I may suggest a form you might not be familiar with: 「もっと あな を ほったり、でんわ を かけたり しました。」 "I dug more holes and made phone calls and such."Ah, one more thing. You don't need 私 は in the first sentence. きのう いそがしかった です gives the same meaning and sounds more normal. You would use 私 は if you were going to mention that somebody else was not busy, or something like that.
